Quality Control
Comar have been ISO 9001 approved since 1996 because we believed that quality assurance, in its broadest sense, is any action taken to prevent quality problems from occurring. In practice, this means devising systems for carrying out tasks which directly affect product quality, this we have accomplished with the assistance and guidance of our customers. The task is never complete, and we practice continuous improvement via dynamic “lessons learnt “ in conjunction with our customers and suppliers.

Manufacture
Manufacturing involves fabrication and machining of components and integrating these with the hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems.
With our latest in full 3 & 4D CAD/CAM software, a comprehensive range of CNC and conventional machines and inspection equipment matched with a fully trained and skilled work force we are able to offer a very comprehensive machining service.
JIGS & FIXTURES
From a simple drilling jig to a complete welding & assembly cell, these can be manufactured to your design or designed and manufactured complete. They are all made to suit your individual requirements
CNC TURNING
We have a highly experienced, motivated and trained workforce. Whether you need a one off, or 100 off, we can offer a practical cost effective solution.
CNC MILLING
Working from our designs, drawings or CAD models we are able to manufacture components in a varied cross section of materials. We use most drawing file types to quote and manufacture components. We have an overhead crane with a lifting capacity of 5 tonnes.
CNC MACHINING CENTRES
All CNC machines are off line programmable using our models, CAD data or manual input. Cylindrical Mapping & Cylindrical Engraving on 4th axis control. Our engineering staff have many years of experience and knowledge to call upon when assessing your requirements.
CONVENTIONAL MACHINES
All our work is planned out in advance on a production planning system to ensure “on time” deliveries Our workforce is our greatest strength, calling on time served craftsmanship.
INSPECTION & PRODUCTION
Temperature controlled gauge room where all our measuring equipment is stored. Fully calibrated CMM by independent company. We offer independent inspection reports to other companies. We have a whole range of finishing equipment from part marking/etching to packing and our Production Planning Gantt Chart system provides for easy visual loading of production and on time deliveries.
Inspection
Comar Engineering Services Ltd has achieved BS EN ISO 9001: 2010 certification through BSI , demonstrating our longstanding commitment to the quality of our products and customer satisfaction.
ISO 9001:2010 is a globally recognised standard that provides assurance about the ability of a company to satisfy quality requirements and to enhance customer satisfaction in supplier-customer relationships.
Comars certification demonstrates adherence to documented quality processes and procedures that ensure on going improvements in the design, development, production and support of test equipment and other production applications requiring high precision engineering.
As an integrator of externally sourced machined parts and fabrications, the emphasis is on our control of suppliers and our insistence on having a quality control system. Final inspection to our detailed design is backed up by the necessary inspection reports, material sheets and heat treatment results.
Assembly & Testing
All components designed, purchased and manufactured by Comar are assembled in house by skilled engineers, each assembly is CAD modelled to prove that it will integrate with the fabricated parts and machined components.
On completion of assembly, this complete with the hydraulic and electronic supplies are tested to prove its operation.
Comars experienced hydraulic and mechanical technicians are key to providing assemblies that exceed our customer expectations. Our skilled technicians use state of the art assembly tools and test equipment to help guarantee quality and reliability. Standard operating methods and test procedures control our manufacturing processes.
